Born in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, to a pilot father, Patrick showed exceptional talent from a young age. He entered his first flying competition at just 12. He began solo flights at 17 and soon dived into aerobatics, where he went on to win the South African national championship six times.

In 2018, he joined the Challenger Class, the feeder series to the World Championship of air racing, and over two seasons, earned two second-place and two third-place finishes—showing remarkable consistency and skill.

Believing that “having fun is the most important thing,” Patrick quickly adapted to the AIR RACE X format. In the 2024 season, he finished 2nd in Race 2 and 3rd in Race 3, outperforming top-tier pilots and proving himself as a strong contender.

His lucky charm? Blueberries. It’s his pre-race ritual to eat them—so if you see him before a race, don’t forget to shout, “Blueberries!”
